Come celebrate Earth Day with the Napa RCD, Napa Spring Clean and Kayak Napa Valley by beautifying downtown Napa! We need dedicated volunteers to help clean up 5 sites along our creeks, the Napa River, and our downtown streets.
Come have a great time doing something good for the Earth!
Sites:
- Napa Creek- Behind Firefighter's Museum at the corner of Main and Pearl Streets. Important!! Volunteers are encouraged to clean the downtown streets and stay away from the reach of Napa Creek where construction was just finished so that the creek banks have time to stabilize and hew plantings are not disturbed.
- Kennedy Park, boat ramp
- South Wetlands, end of Jefferson St.
- Riverside Drive, at Elm St.- Kayak Napa Valley will have their kayaks at this site.
- Mt. Veeder,
Dry Creek-Lokoya Fire Station at 5900 Dry Creek Rd.
Do you kayak? Kayak Napa Valley is looking for cleanup volunteers that want to utilize one of their tandem kayaks for the cleanup. They will be launching the boats from the Riverside Drive site. If you are interested, please e-mail paddle@kayaknv.com.
