Calendar of Events



Every year the RCD and NRCS offer a variety of workshops, trainings, presentations and tours. We will make every effort to update this list as the events are planned. Please feel free to call the office to inquire about our upcoming events. (707)252-4188.

 

Board Meetings

Board Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at the RCD office from 8:00 AM to 9:30/10:00 AM. These meetings are open to the public.


 

Creek to Bay Cleanup Day

This event always coincides with California Coastal Clean-up Day. Usually it takes place the third Saturday in the month of September. Geology Tour of the Watershed

Bennie Troxel, RCD Associate Director and Geologist, leads these tours around and beyond the Napa River Watershed on a periodic basis. The tour begins at our office with a classroom presentation of local geology and then participants travel to various points of interest around the area. Approximate times are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These tours are scheduled according to demand. Call the office if you are interested: 707-252-4188 x108


 

Earth Day

Saturday, April 19, 2008 In addition to the Earth Day event at the Napa Valley College soccer fields there will be an Earth Day River Cleanup in downtown Napa. For more information on both events, click here.


 

Rangeland Camp

Early June (applications due to the RCD by end of April). Two applicants are sponsored each year by the RCD Board of Directors to attend this week-long Ecology/Rangeland Camp. Contact the office for more information at 707-252-4188 x108.


 

River Festival, Downtown Napa

Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. This event is sponsored by Friends of the Napa River.


 

Sustainable Agriculture Seminars

By the Napa Sustainable Winegrowing Group (NSWG). Click the link to view all upcoming NSWG seminars.

The Napa Sustainable Winegrowing Group meets on a monthly basis (second Tuesday of each month) to discuss sustainable farming practices among members.
