Studying the complex systems of watersheds is a key component of RCD programs. The RCD works with stewardship groups, individuals, and other partners to undertake various watershed assessments and studies to further local and regional understanding about our local resources.
Our technical focus areas are biology, hydrology, and soil conservation/erosion control. Recent projects include: fish habitat assessments for the Napa River watershed, hydrologic modeling for flood potential in tributaries, assessment of base-flow conditions in local streams, sediment source assessments from private roads, and on-going water quality monitoring. |
