The RCD is involved in a variety of resource conservation planning projects from whole-watershed and regional resource management plans to site-specific restoration and conservation plans. RCD staff work with a variety of public and private organizations and individuals to plan projects such as:
- fish-passage improvement
- removal of non-native invasive (and Pierce's Disease) vegetation
- soil erosion prevention from unpaved roads and/or vineyards
- creek and river restoration.
The RCD provides erosion control plan review for landowners and Napa County Conservation, Development, and Planning Department. RCD staff can assist landowners/managers in understanding Napa County's Conservation Regulations that were established in 1991. |
