The RCD offers a wide variety of unpaid internship opportunities. We have worked with many high school, community college, U.C. Davis and Sonoma State University students. Volunteer hours range from a few a week to almost fulltime, depending on the volunteer´s interest, need, and availablity. The work can be in our office or in the field. Some of the projects and programs include:
- Water quality monitoring
- Development and support of outdoor agricultural education curriculum
- Non-point source pollution prevention program development
- Development of non-point source pollution presentations for the classroom
- Development of resource conservation media library
- Watershed model presentation to elementary schools
- Development of reference keys for historical aerial maps
- Data input
- Rainfall monitoring
- Stream flow monitoring
- Land surface permeability studies
- Habitat surveying
- Restoration work
